1/2 Credit Course - recommended for students in grades 10, 11 or 12.

The purpose of the course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge to create two-dimensional animations.

Students will be able to:

• use Adobe Fireworks to create animated gifs
• use Adobe Flash to create Flash animations
• create animation objects
• create and use a timeline
• animate objects by using timeline effects, layers, or frames
• create a storyboard
• define the purpose and audience for an animation

Students in this course will work independently on this course on their own time. There will be learning resources made available electronically. There will be assignments and tests. The final project will be evaluated by the ICT teacher for ICT skills, and by a teacher in another subject for the content requirements of that class.
